Baby's Sweet Retreat

girls baby nursery ideasJennifer Reynolds of Jennifer Reynolds Interiors is the talented designer behind this adorable nursery. There are so many beautiful details about this room that I love - i.e. the fabric, wall color and ceiling beams check those out!

1. What gave you the idea for the room? Anything special that inspired you? The design of the room all started with Julia’s (baby girl) parents and how they wanted the room to FEEL. They wanted a look that was sweet and precious without screaming “baby”. We wanted the room to comfort Julia and have the flexibility to evolve as Julia grew. We found fabrics that we just fell in love with so we designed the color scheme around the fabrics (Robert Allen: ) My custom workroom (The Designer’s Workroom) did a phenomenal job bringing our vision to life with the bedding ensemble and drapery treatments.

2. What are the paint colors? Any do-it-yourself projects? The wall and ceiling color is Sherwin Williams “Wheat Grass” SW6408. The only DIY things that we did was change out the basic knobs on the changer to crystal and change the ribbon on the art work (3 floral prints). I also hand painted an antique rocking chair for her shower gift.

3. Please share any bedding, art, furniture finds? What's your favorite purchase? Is there something you had to have? Any interesting facts our readers would want to know? All of the bedding and window treatments were custom made by The Designers Workroom www.designersworkroom.net. All of the fabrics are from Robert Allen. My favorite purchase was the art hung over the window. The three smaller floral prints were from Pottery Barn and the lamp is a Tracey Porter. The other accessories were collected from several places. My favorite furniture piece is the hand painted rocker. The crib stuffed animals were found at a Women’s clothing store of all places….you’d be surprised where I found things.

Soothing, peaceful and totally outstanding nursery. Thank you Jennifer!!
