Sweet and adorable are words to describe this farm chic birthday party for a three year old little girl! Some of my favorite, favorite colors were used - red, aqua and pink. Jennifer from Social Butterfly Ink created this one of a kind party. Jennifer describes some details: "The Favor Baskets came from Michaels..and they also go on sale often!! They were bigger than I had originally planned…The ones I wanted were the same baskets from Hobby Lobby but much smaller…I made 3 trips out there and they never had enough for everyone (I needed 24!!)…So I found these at Michaels and they worked out well…I gave one to each family, almost everyone was a brother and/or sister pair so the basket had to hold 2 Caramel Apples, 2 Old Fashioned Party Crackers, 2 Rock Candy Swizzle Sticks, 2 Farm Stickers and a Farm Board Book for the little ones…Each Basket was lined with fabric (which I’ll list in the next post:) that I cut up with a scalloped rotary cutter and I made the Fabric Rosettes, which were also Hair Clips!!"
Family movie night is an easy night to plan and can be a fun tradition to start for your family - even teens can get into a family movie night. It is a great way to bond with your kids and start a new tradition. Make it a monthly or weekly event or even a birthday party theme.
Print out darling invites for each member of your family. Set a time and date.
Print the popcorn container boxes (shown above). Have your kids help assemble - most kids enjoy crafting and helping to create. A family movie night will not be complete without serving popcorn. I've had this simple stove-top popcorn maker for years - we LOVE it!!
Pillows, blankets, bean bag chairs all help to make it a comfy movie night
Let everyone know ahead of time that there will be an intermission. This gives everyone a chance for a potty break, and get snacks and drinks.
No need to go all out and stress yourself - but serving one food theme item can help make
great memories of your movie nights.
Since there usually isn't much interaction during a movie, it's important to take the opportunity to discuss and review the move after it's over. Maybe your family can give it a rating on a scale of 1-10 or a thumbs up or thumbs down. How about any lessons learned from the movie?
Yes, that's right...a gumball necklace. Who woulda thought?? One Charming Party created this fabulous "pearls of joy" necklace. I'm definitely making one of these for me!
Rebecca from Fresh Chick Designs created this sweet owl themed baby nursery. Rebecca describes the room, " I knew I wanted an owl them but had a hard time finding art that I liked, so I decide to make my own by using canvases that I painted and wall decals that I picked up from Target. To create interest, I painted horizontal stripes on the changing table wall. I wanted to keep the bedding simple so that it would be easy to mix and match various pieces. I also made the window panels to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. The overall color are tangerine, aqua, grass green, chocolate and white. All of the furniture came from walmart, the bedding was a mix of PB Kids and Bacati." Lamp from Ikea.
