Boys Clock Room

Designer Nicole from Little Liberty really made time stand still with this fabulous boys clock room! As she says, "This room really shows you what a massive impact great wallpaper can have". This room was designed for a well-traveled 5 year old boy but it is sophisticated enough to stand the test of time (if you'll pardon the pun).  This room can serve as a comfortable retreat for your littlest buddies to your young men.
The pendant lamp adds to this room's uncluttered, clean look.

The world clocks wallpaper serves as a backdrop for the other coordinating pieces.

Since the owner of this room is a big fan of "The Lion King", a canvas lion image was included that matches the room's colors and feel.

Sports Themed Boy's Room

I recently received pictures of this fantastic sports themed boys room done up in traditional style. This room looks light and airy with the light colored walls punched up with bold, beautiful racing stripes that coordinate with the quilt from Pottery Barn.  This room is full of great detail from the homemade artwork depicting images from local sports teams, to the personalized name banner. There's a lot to see in this room and yet it's not overwhelming.

Aaris Jackson from the blog, Jackson of all Trades, is the mother responsible for this great room. She put together the number collage using a mix of sports memorabilia numbers that she already had around the house and craft store numbers.

She made the name pennant using coordinating fabrics which she then hung over the custom headboard that she made by covering an old door with corduroy fabric. Both projects are super creative without breaking the bank.

Aaris took room personalization one step further by creating great local sports team artwork. She explains how she did it in her personalized sports team tutorial.

Well if this isn't the cleverest, most awesome DIY baseball project I don't know what is! Andrea from Signs by Andrea created a proof in Photoshop to help get her started in making this DIY (Pottery Barn inspired) sign for a baseball loving customer.

50 Ideas For Car Themed Boys Rooms

Decorating a boys room can be out-of-the-box fun since it allows you to use decorative pieces that wouldn't work in most other rooms of your home. For instance - car tires made into a bed side table work in this kids room.  I hope all of the 50 ideas inspires you to do something creative for your little or big guy! Nascar theme bedroom

Classic boys room with a transportation theme. The rooms focal point is a pedal push car. Also, liking the hub caps hung as art above the beds. Paint colors are Sherwin-Williams - Red Bay (SW 6321), Iron Ore (SW 7069), Extra White (SW 7006). Image from here.

Recycled tires turned into stools or side table.

Industrial shelves are an inexpensive solution to shelving in a car or industrial theme room. I love the grease stains on the wall and all the hubcaps.

How awesome is this filling station motor oil dresser?

Painted dresser with real working headlights.  Love how talented this couple is.

Car themed room for an older child.

LOVING the cars repurposed into beds! This room (and the following 4 images) are from the V-8 hotel in Stuttgart, Germany. The rooms are designed to represent a gas station,  car wash, drive-in and garage. All images by Frank Hoppe.

Diamond Plate Wall Border can be purchased on rolls. Doesn't this add the perfect accent for a car themed room?

Have a lamp sitting around gathering dust? Restyle it! This car lamp is a quick and easy restyling project.

Tone on tone striped walls are a great background for hubcap wall art.
